So i laid Kaylee down early for a nap today because she was following me around the house, binky and blanket included, and nuzzled my leg everytime i would stop. (to me that says i'm tired.) and so i changed her diaper and put her to bed. she didn't object. i proceeded to feed Jaxon and also lay him down for a nap. i'm on a roll....
so i mix up some brownies, lick the bowl, and start some laundry. i've now had 15 minutes to myself and i'm feeling good.
then i hear Kaylee fussing with her door. when she suceeds to open it, i give her a look that says "go back to bed". so she cries and shuts the door. a few minutes later this happens again. (this carries on for a good 10 minutes). eventually she is so worked up her nose starts to run and calls for a tissue. (if you have ever heard her ask for a tissue- its very cute and hard to ressist.) so i open the door a crack and hand her a tissue. she stops crying, takes the tissue, wipes her nose, then cracks the door again, hands me the dirty tissue, shuts the door herself, and continues crying as if she never had the interruption of a leaky nose. LOL
i left the box of tissues within reach of her bedroom door to see what would happen... about 5-10 minutes later, the crying stops, she opens the door a crack, takes a tissue, wipes her nose, leaves the tissue ouside the door, and continues on with her tantrum.
Kaylee girl- you're so silly, but you make my day so much more entertaining. =)

ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! Mason used to tell me that he needed his nails cut so that I would come and open his bedroom door. (And now he has a doorknob cover on his door so he can't get out. It's the only way I sleep at night! :o)
